I'm thinking of getting the 'Coffin Joe Collection' box set

Are the films included vanilla, or are there any extras included?

Thanks in advance

I'd need to get the set to check the discs but, to the best of my recollection, there is barely anything in terms of extra features.

Trust me it's really bad. Like a beaten up VHS. I posted some stills of it here: http://www.cult-labs.com/forums/coll...-7-movies.html

Note that i've just watched the beginning of the film (about 3 mins) until i couldn't stand it any longer. I just grabbed some random stills so it's up to the viewer to decide if it makes the DVD justice or not.

So before the Network sale ends there's a couple of titles I've got my eye on. Namely the Hammers, Countess Dracula, Hands of the Ripper and The Uncanny. Also interested in The Shout, Death Line and Karloffs The Ghoul. Anyone got an opinion on any of these discs? Picture quality? Likelihood of superior releases anytime soon? Thanks guys.

For the prices you can't go wrong. The Shout is a brilliant film and the Countess Dracula disc is excellent.

I have all the others but not from Network. All are good films.

Yeah, I've got it and watched it over Christmas.

It's ok, but far from reference material. There's not a huge improvement over the upscaled DVD, so depending how big a fan you are (and which DVD you have) I'd consider the upgrade carefully. Personally I was satisfied... It's nice and grainy too if you like that sort of thing. I think any flaws are inherent to the master, so it probably looks about as good as it's ever going to..

[EDIT] Should have touched upon the extras, which are decent, but ported over from the original SE DVD. So again, if you have that...
