That makes sense if you're not seeing an upgrade to the film itself with replacing DVD for DVD. |

It depends When it was first released, and I watched it in the sitting room on DVD, it was laughable However...when I was homeless, and living in a camper van, driving around and staying over night in car-parks and lay-bys it took on a whole new meaning, and it played on my mind a lot Before...it's a film I could watch many times over After...it's a film I would never return to

I think Eden Lake is a tough, uncompromising, and thought-provoking movie. The performances are outstanding, from Michael Fassbender and Kelly Reilly as the adult protagonists to Jack O'Connell (before he was famous for roles in films such as Starred Up, '71, and Unbroken). The violence is extremely realistic but, because of the context, is never exploitative or overly gratuitous. I rate it very highly.
