Yes.

Whilst dramatized, the film details the notorious 17th century Czech witch-trials in more of a historical/biopical way (it uses genuine transcripts of forced confessions of witchcraft in the film) and still manages to be an extremely interesting and shocking piece of cinema.

My copy is on it's way from HMV as I type.

On a related note, Second Run are also releasing one of my all-time favourite Czech films on Blu in December:

I'll be having some of that too.

I have the above edition and it looks very nice, it has a theatrical version and an extended one.
It's region A locked, but if you have a multi region blu player i would recommend it.
I'm not multi region, that's why i'm interested in the german version.
Hopefully, it will be the same transfer!

What do we think of the U.K. BD of Starcrash, think it's on the Stax label.

(saw it in HMV for £9.99)

Has The Secret of Doctor Hitchcock ever had a dvd release?

I used to have the old Stablecane video but haven't been aware of the film since.

Forget it. Olive Films released it last year. ...Cut!

French DVD:L'Effroyable secret du docteur Hichcock (https://www.amazon.fr/LEffroyable-se...SIN=B007K8FRR6) with Italian and French soundtrack and French subtitles.

Italian DVD: L'orribile segreto del Dr. Hichcock (https://www.amazon.it/Lorribile-segr...chcock%2C+L%27) with Italian soundtrack and Italian subtitles.

I think the Italian DVD is uncut.

The lack of either English audio or subs make those releases pointless really. though.

A long time ago, I watched an Italian film with French subtitles. It was quite an experience.

Can you speak Italian or French?

I think it's brilliant that you are fluent in at least two languages anyway.
