The Pumpkin Karver (2006)

Although this has a mighty score of 3.2/10 on IMDB i rather enjoy this Halloween set slasher and tend to give it an airing each October. It's got a decent budget and has some fun murders including a poor chap who ends up on the sharp end of a farm drill with his intestines swirling round. Added to this is a decent cast of unknowns and a scary pumpkin masked killer...yeah! i like this one.

I know i watched it but i can't remember a thing about it so maybe it wasn't good st all. Sometimes doing this i get wary of so many bad films when i find something even mildly better it feels like a masterpiece

Storage 24 2012.

After a military plane crashes in London, Charlie is heading to a storage facility with his friend Mark to clear his stuff out. Along with his recently ex girlfriend and two friends, storage facility worker and a man that lives there try to survive with something in there with them.

Low budget British horror science fiction film from the idea by Noel Clarke (Kidulthood) who stars as Charlie who isn't having a great day, his girlfriend broke up with him and he has to spend another night with her to survive. This is a decent simple yet effective film with some suspense moments and a wind up dog toy that's got it's uses. This isn't the top best movie but it's fun to watch.

Strait-Jacket (1964)

William Castle strikes again, giving those film fans what they want, an axe murder (x2) in the first 5 minutes! Full of campy drama and legitimately uncomfortable scenes (mommy dearest introducing herself to the boyfriend!) as well as plenty of violence

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark (2019)

Based from a famously scary kids book, this film is set around Halloween in 1968 (had Stephen King flashbacks as soon as "1968" popped up on screen) and follows a bunch of high-schoolers who take a book from a haunted house, only the ghost who the book belongs to is a bit pissed off and wants it back! This was one I've been looking forward to this year, produced by GdT and directed by the guy who brought us Troll Hunter, only it was a bit disappointing. Visually very stylish, tonally all over the place (is it meant to be a kids film? why is there so much swearing and pretty strong violence..?) and worst of all, a little bit boring between all of the cool set-pieces. Critters was miles better and that was a TV Movie for the SyFy channel!

Thats a shame i was looking forward to it myself.
