I've NEVER seen a Naschy film in my life and im 40 and been collecting seriously from the 90's. Is Franco's Bloody Moon Spanish.? Love that film. Was'nt Lenzi's Nightmare City half Spanish .? Great film. I liked the Blind Dead films and Matador as well. |

The original Tombs Of The Blind Dead is still cut. If resubmitted it's very likely the BBFC would request the same cuts. Fringe title really.

Agree that Fausto 5.0 deserves attention - it's not great but it is good. Non-horror, really, but Intacto is a favourite Spanish mystery-thriller. Point taken about US style of Open Graves... Another one (with some horror content) that's made in Spain but not strictly a Spanish film is Goya's Ghosts (dir. Milos Forman). I think it's a very good film, whatever its nationality.

Intacto is up there with Time Crimes for Spanish films that aren't classed as Horror but they will be enjoyed by fans of the genre. Another classic Spanish horror would be The Bloodspattered Bride. |

The first one is, yes. A reduction to the rape scene. As far as I know all the others were passed intact by the BBFC.

Personally I find the rape in Tombs completely out of place. Last edited by vincenzo; 25th January 2010 at 11:24 AM. |

Vince, Night of the Seagulls was previously cut under the title Don't Go Out at Night. Silly title really.
