if the mag is definitely coming back and losing the hardware stuff etc and reviewing my type of films, then great!
the only downside are the crap and boring Jean Rollin dvds
I know there free but its a shame....well another director for a change?

Ha, well, yes, Rollin isn't for everyone. I personally love his work, but that's me. I like dreamlike, languid films. They appeal to me. I don't need everything delivered with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

Not every horror film I have is gory, violent, excessive etc
the excellent SESSION 9 for example is atmospheric and the violence at the end is really more implied and the gothic BLACK SUNDAY and CASTLE OF BLOOD are just two others
but it would be a nice change if DVDWORLD chose another type of film/director

oooo you're so right I love session 9. But really I enjoy all of Brad Anderson's films, they all keep up a level of quality which many films lack today. Mainly the fact that they actually contain decent stories.

Gotta admit at first when they gave away The Escapees I let out a little groan, but when I watched it I fell in love with Rollin. Top notch films.

But seriously they need to get a move on, cos I want my free DVD.

Well said and i fully agree. I tend to give the free DVDs away unless said item is a title i may find interesting. Yet another Rollin release? Gee....i never saw that one coming.

I just wish Brycie would make up his mind once and for all which of his publications he's keeping in circulation. The silent treatment Brycie has a bad habit of indulging in every now and then i find quite annoying. The man should at least have the decency to inform us fans which mags are definitely coming or going. Instead of buyers making regular trips to their local stockist only to leave without the latest issue they're looking for as it's now no longer printed!

So true, it really annoys me when I walk around town every so often just looking for the magazine and then I never end up finding it. I want a date of release, but of course Alan won't be that helpful to the fans will he.

if youve read the new DS, youll know whats up.
if not, here it is...the publishers (Future?) have gone up the wall, though in lieu of a redundancy package AB will get option on the title, so it may resurface yet. hope this helps.
