Hopefully Criterion will retain the rights to Crash some day, I don't see why not as the current holders seem to be doing bugger all with the film.
Nothing so sinister Joe, my Rapidshare account expired and with it all my RS files got rubbed out. I'll put Taxi Driver back up in the next few days, on Mediafire, so check back...

Yeah, Crash really is one of my dream Criterion Blu titles - that film deserves nothing less...

No, Crash doesn't deserve a Criterion edition because Idon't have the means to play US BD's lol. Crash deserves nothing less than MOC blu release ;-)

Bet you could sell your existing player and go multi region for about 20 quid. My toshiba 3200 cost 40 quid delivered from an e-bay store, i paid a fiver for the firmware update but you could download it for free and - boom - you're good to go. Its subsequently cost me a bloody fortune right enough - these Criterion blus are like the hard drugs of film collecting, ie expensive, totally addictive but they get you high when they pop through the door (took that metaphor too far!).

Yep, and I've been mainlining - Barnes & Noble have a nice Criterion sale going - not huge discounts on Amazon prices, but enough to sail through customs if you get 'em one by one... So far I've picked up silent film Lonesome, Heaven's Gate, The Killing, Paths of Glory, and will be heading back this afternoon for Orpheus, Paris Texas and Night of the Hunter...

someone....stop....me....please....

The John Carpenter and Kurt Russell commentary on The Thing is brilliant. And the Evil Dead 2 commentary is also brilliant.

The League of Gentlemen commentary on the Anchor Bay disc of BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW is brilliant.

Two of my favourite commentaries, along with the Tom Savini/Chris Stavrakis one from the cut UK DVD of Dawn of the Dead

The SWV release of "The Naked Witch" has one of my favourite commentaries as the director discusses his adventures in old Hollywood and then in the murky world of 50s and 60s exploitation films.

Yes the cut dawn commentary is another fantastic one. Must check out the Romero/Savini
commentary on Creepshow again.
