Been doing some more Bigfoot research today and have come across two incredibly obscure, rare and practically lost films. Exciting stuff! First off there's Revenge of Bigfoot which I know very little off at the moment, but the second one is a 1975 film called Sasqua directed by Channon Scot (who according to IMDb has only made one film)

Sasqua has never been released on DVD and never even managed to get onto VHS! Thats how obscure this film is! After some tracking down I've managed to find a site full of information on this mysterious film - check it out if obscure, rare films float your boat - The Story of Sasqua » Articles » Cult Reviews

Here's some images too:

And for those interested here's a newspaper article on the film I came across too...

(I doubt it, but if anyone wants bigger - readable! - copies of the below articles just let me know )

From this review - Sasqua » Horror » Cult Reviews - one of the few I could find, it seems that the film is a cross between Night of the Demon and a backwards slasher. I'm dying to see this film!

Apparently the director still owns the original film - it's just never been distributed before If Arrow were to release a box set of obscure gems and this happened to be in it, I would be over the moon. Wishful thinking though

Oh and did I mention, the film stars James Whiworth who is probably most famous for exploitation films such as Planet of Dinosaurs, The Candy Snatchers and the orginal two Hills Have Eyes films as Jupiter!

Watched another Bigfoot film last night. It's surprising how this film has slipped into obscurity especially considering this is the first film directed by John Landis and features excellent special effects by Rick Baker. Not to mention that the poster for this film can be seen in Michael Jackson's Thriller obviously directed by Landis too.

Overall a very fun film, if somewhat dated comedy. If you're a fan of Amazon Women On The Moon, Kentucky Fried Movie, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or other 1970s parody sci-fis this is right up your alley.

Just to say that Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon is on the Syfy channel RIGHT NOW! Check it out if you want to see a recent Bigfoot film - it's hillariously bad.
