I have to agree with the majority on here (although I thought I was a minority) but I really didn't think much of the Saw films, I've only seen 1-3 and they just didn't impress me at all. Mainly because of some bad acting I guess. I don't know they just don't have that 'something' that holds a movie together. I'd still like to see the rest of them just for some interesting death scenes though.

I'm glad I'm not alone, haha!

I went to see it with an old mate who is another big horror fan and we both left thinking the same thing. I'm not adverse to bad acting. Lord knows I've got enough of it in some of the movies I love but I just felt that in a flim which primarily concentrates on two people in a room, it really had to be better and more convincing.

On the contrary, we both went to see the Dawn Of The Dead remake in the same year expecting an abomination and loved it!

Looking at the replies it's about 50/50 split.

I'll give it the extra credit of helping to revive horror in the cinema. Just a shame that most of what has followed that I've seen hasn't been that great either.

Well, I'm not glad I AM alone here

I love the SAW franchise and I think it's the most suspenseful, intense and surprising horror franchise ever put on film. No doubt I also love the classics (Freddy, Evil Dead; but actually not too foind of Myers or Jason since they were in a lot of awfully boring films, too) but SAW is my personal favorite.

The first Saw is really good. The others are just fun to watch. Aside from 2 and 6.

6 was also fun to watch ... but I agree with you that the 2nd is by far the weakest of the series.

That's really surprising about Saw. Watched the first one and didn't like it at all.

Saw just lost more points from me as I just stumbled across a reality show called 'Scream Queens' where a bunch of nightmarishly bad actresses (I use that term loosely) are competing for a part in Saw 3D.
