Yes it does,so that's why I thought both used the same master!
Seems it's just a repack.

Btw the giallo trailer show on the disc is good fun!

I have also a question for you Pete...
I started watching The Murder Secret yesterday and was a bit surprised about the quality of the master used (seems like a video master).
Red popped up from time to time and the image seemed to "bleed" (for lack of a better word) out of the frame sometimes.
Is this normal?

I also was also unable to find subs for the Italian track?
I'd read here there were subs:
The Murder Secret (Mario Bianchi, 1988) - Cult Movie Forums | DVD + Blu-ray News + Discussion

Mine was the same. It's dissapointing but it's better than nothing I guess.

There are no subs for the Italian track.

Finally finished watching The Murder Secret today.
Will have a good sleep on it before I post my findings.

Well...it starts very slow (and a little boring) but after the shower scene things get going!
There's also some nudity and some effective gore.
The scene at the end (on the bed) was pretty...,good fun though.
I think Fulci maybe would have been proud.

Not too bad for a very low budget late 80's giallo.

Now comparing The Murder Secret with Massacre is difficult because the first one wants to play it (sort of) straight, while the second one is just a sleazy crazy movie.
Both do have some fun scenes and things to offer though imho.
