While I quite like The Lost Boys I don't think there's any scene in the film to match the bar scene in Near Dark.

since i couldnt "join in" for some reason last week, can i just add that ive never really considered TLB to be a horror film per se, but merely a symptom of Mainstream 80s hollywood pap, ie anodyne action films, bland bland "comedies" etc (for christ sake Fright Night is scarier!!) that really doesnt stand that test of time? where as ND, as flawed as it is will ALWAYS win out IMO. if only for the bar scene (that IS some punch). to put it simply i HATE saxophones solos. tee hee.
