Not a date flick by any means mate!

Especially a first date......Travis Bickle's scenario springs to mind!

Oh he was a nice looking guy but THAT film he took me to see,he must be a ****ing psycho!

Just watched it with the incredibly down to earth and interesting director/writer husband/wife commentary.

Now watching with the actor's commentary. Again insightful and pretty funny too.

Love the fact that Maskell's dad was the gaffer on set too.

Thanks to the commentary, only just learned that the high priest at the end is played by the dad from Down Terrace (Robert Hill, father of the editor!) . . .

All commentaries listened too and extras watched.

Glad to hear Michael Smiley poke fun at the abysmal Q & A at Frightfest in the actor's commentary.

The overriding feeling I get from the interviews is that all involved were immensely passionate and proud of the film...

...and so they bloody well should be.

... shame there are no deleted scenes / outtakes though. From the commentaries it sounds like they had a ton of unused material, including loads more comedy improv from Smiley and Maskell . . .

One of the few cases where I would actually want to see outtakes and deleted scenes. These are extras that I don't usually bother about, but it sounds like they had am abundance of stuff worth seeing. I do like the fact that they just kept stripping things back and back until what you end up with is taut as hell.

Seriously though, coming so late in the year on disc, this is a contender for film of the year.
That's how much I rate it.
