Great film, saw it last night (On a double bill with Maniac - educating the wife to be!)

Loved it to bits, thought it was very brave to leave it all a bit ambiguous but it worked a treat!

Just watched this and found it genuinely disturbing. I like the directors style, the disorientating edits, the creepy/banal flourescent settings, the surreal realism, if that makes sense. Shook the poor old wife up and shes sat through a fair few of my selections. *Possible Spoiler* Was the final scene not very reminiscent of the unfairly maligned A Serbian Movie? Coincidence?

I thought it was great and loved both commentaries, which were well delivered, funny and informative.

I haven't seen the DVD, but it looks and sounds great in HD, so the BD comes highly recommended.

Wheatley claimed not to have seen ASF when he dis the Q & A at Frightfest.

I guess there is a similarity, but coincidental I think.

The BD is a double play pack with the dvd.

Although that annoying 'DOUBLE PLAY' crap only applies to the card outer case.

I've just twigged what this film reminded me of - great old comic Hellblazer. Think about it, the mix of hum drum domestics and occult horror, 'Kiev' instead of 'Newcastle', the boozing, the sleaze. Come to think about it a new Hellblazer adaptation by Ben Wheatley starring Michael Smiley as Considine would be mind blowing!
