Chapter 3 The All Seeing Eye

Picking up from where chapter 2 left off Jack Forster and Vera Strang are trapped in a small room where the walls are closing in on them and just when it looks like certain death Prof Strang comes too and turns off the switch to stop the collapsing room. The Shadows men rush the room to take out Forster and steal the jewels they thing Vera has taken from the warehouse but the Shadow warns them the police and on their way and they split but little do they know Jack has hitched a ride on the back of their car and discovered their hideout and more importantly a step closer to discovering the true identity of The Whispering Shadow.

After Jack phones in his discovery to Detective Robert Raymond he wastes no time in ringing in back up and heading to the location but when they get inside the Shadow and his men are no where to be found leading them to the conclusion that they were tipped off about the arrival of the police. When Detective Robert Raymond informs Jack that the only other person that knew about his discover was J.D. Bradley Company President he becomes a prime suspect but when he is confronted he tries to pin the blame on one of his employees. Jack spots some of The Shadows men leaving the car park and decides to follow hoping to track down their new hideout.

Meanwhile J.D. Bradley has made his way to Jasper Slades house to try and get back the jewels that seem to be eluding everyone at this point. Held at gunpoint Slade tells Bradley he has the jewels hidden inside the wall of his house but its not going to be as easy as just walking out the front door with them when Prof Strang and Vera show up and create a distraction to take the jewels back for themselves. After a brief encounter with Bradley Strang makes off with the jewels only to have them snatched by Slade once again but trusty Vera is on hand an she hangs on to the side of Slades speeding car trying to wrestle the jewels away from him but in the struggle the car drives straight over a cliff.

Did Vera and Slade get out of harms way before the car plunged over the cliff ? Who will possess the jewels next ? Can anyone be trusted ? Tune in next time to see if any of these question will be answered in.............

Chapter 4 The Shadow Strikes

In this chapter there are no shoot outs or punch ups apart from in the recap of chapter 2 but we do manage to get two great looking stunts with people hanging off speeding cars the one with Vera being the more impressive as she is hanging on for dear life and fighting at the same time. Just like chapter 2 Lugosi has very little screen time but that goes for every cast member there is just too much going on to focus too much on one character.

The first four minutes of this chapter like chapter 2 are spent recapping the goings on of the previous chapter which is a lot of time when the episodes are only 18 minutes each which mean they have to pack in so much in the next 14 minutes its just non stop. This can be both a good and a bad thing. Good in the way that there is little time for filler but bad that the pacing can be too fast as you can tell from how many times the jewels change hands in such a short episode. Watching it its not confusing but writing it i may sound all over the place but it does happen as fast and as often as i have typed it above.

Chapter 4 The Shadow Strikes

The weeks episode begins right were we left off in episode 3 with Foster in hot pursuit of Slade and his captive Vera Strang. The high speed chase takes them along a dangerous road with a steep cliff down one side. At the end of episode 3 we are left to think it was Vera and Slade who go over the cliff be it was actually Foster but luckily he manages to bail before its too late. While escaping Slade ditches Vera on the side of the road just in time for her father to save her and take her back to the museum. When they arrive back Strang notices that the lock has been forced and when they sneak inside they see Bradley the haulage company president snooping around the museum. Allowing him to sneak out unnoticed Strang sends Vera to follow him to find out what he knows about the Jewels.

Meanwhile The Whispering Shadow sends his goons after Slade to recover the package but after we are treated once again to a high speed chase and a high speed shoot out Slade jumps from his car and disappears into the woods but drops the package as he tries to get away. Once opened they notice the jewels have been taken by Slade and they must return to the Whispering Shadow with their tails between their legs. Strangely The Shadow is upbeat and is happy with the documents inside the package.

Foster catches up with Vera back at the haulage company warehouse and confronts her once again about her father and weather or not he is the Whispering Shadow. While pleading the innocence of her father they over hear the voice of The Shadow blackmailing the company Vice President Jerome. The Shadow threatens to expose who Jerome really is using the documents he found in the package in return for the jewels. Foster sees this as a golden opportunity to catch the Shadow and expose Jerome himself. But it wont be as easy as he thinks because the Whispering Shadow is not ordinary man and he knows Fosters next step even before Foster knows himself. After a brief exchange of punches Jerome manages to escape while the Shadow stops Foster and uses his radio ray powers to stop Foster once and for all from interfering in his business. Boom the episode ends with a big flash of lightening .

Will we discover who Jerome really is ?
Will Foster survive this latest attempt on his life ?
Who really has the Jewels ?

To get closer to answering these questions tune in again for another exciting episode of

The Whispering Shadow.
