My copy of Fab Press' new book on TM arrived last week. Its called Re-Agitator and is a collection of writings (mainly DVD liner notes, magazine articles, festival brochure pieces etc.) together with hundreds of wonderful photos. Recommended. Miike has also been announced as the Guest of Honour for the Sitges film festival in October - so expect a retrospective. Need to save my pennies and holiday days so I can attend. |

Mine too, one of the 200 signed by Miike. Only had a flick through it but looks to be an excellent read. |

I have quite a few of his films in my collection but Audition is easily my favorite since its one of my favorite films in general.

I have seen alot more of Miikes films since i last visited this thread almost two years ago. Apart from the gore and twisted imagery that Takashi Miike puts in his films i absolutely love the humour that is present in all his films sometimes its light hearted and sometimes its just down right dark but its always present in some for. The moment that pops into my mind the most is the bath scene in Visitor Q ill say no more for those who have never seen it. I love all his films because you just never know what you are going to get.

Count me in as a Miike fan too.I can never get his Masters of Horror episode out of my mind; brilliantly disturbing, as so many of his racy movies are.
