At the risk of derailing this thread again, do you remember a few years ago, when we were talking about the Iron Maiden video release 'Raising Hell'?

Maybe 88Films could look into releasing it (as #1 in a new line - forgotten music collection)!

Sarcastic yet also, so very true.

In view of the above, this made me laugh

Calum/High Rising Productions is currently running a comp on FB to win a copy of his 'Cannibal Holocaust' book, and to win it, all you have to do is... "write 50 words on the best or worst Kpop song you can find on YouTube - if it makes me laugh then you win."

In the sense of fairness, and to stop people accusing me of making fun of him, here is a link to Calum's book - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cannibal-Ho.../dp/1911325116

For the record, I wasn't having a dig at Calum for his love of K-Pop

The reason I said is because he posts quite a bit of stuff about it on social media, not something I've ever listened to myself, but I quite fancy reading his book so I might have to give the comp a shot

July 11th, 1971 - 'The Ballad Of Dwight Frye' at Long Beach, California

It's almost impossible to believe now, but in the early days of the band, a girl would be chosen from the audience to get dressed as a nurse. She would then lead Alice off stage at the end of a song, returning shortly afterwards when he was in the straight jacket for '...Dwight Frye'. Later, it got more organised when Cindy Smith Dunaway (Neal's sister and Dennis' wife) became the nurse. Nowadays, the part is more likely to be played by Cheryl Cooper (although Calico and Tiffany Lowe has been the nurse on recent tours)

Apparently, in the audience for this concert was a young 15 year old male, who was called Randy Rhodes. He has said this was the moment he decided to become a guitarist

Don't even know what Kpop is. What is it??

Susan Foreman 12th July 2017 05:22 AM

K-pop is basically Korean Pop - Asian music

Don't bother looking for this competition, Calum's deleted the page, he threatened to do it earlier today and when I've just searched for it, it's gone

Typical!

I'm tempted to go back and remove the link advertising his book then

^ The title track off the new Alice Cooper album. I really like it and do prefer it to the Paranoiac Personality single. :)
