I thought horror / cult movie fans listening to rock / thrash / death metal was a cliche!

I grew up on Abba, Elton John and Queen, no wonder I turned out how I did! Thankfully my mothers Barry Manilow collection never appealed to me. At the moment I'm really into Lana Del Rey, I downloaded the album the other week after months of pondering about it. I can't stop listening to it now! When I'm not listening to Lana I'm digging my beloved Saint Etienne and their most recent album Words and Music by. It's grrreat!

Horror and Metal go hand in hand really. When i was a kid and i first went into a record shop with my own money as soon as i saw the cover of Iron Maidens Killers album i wanted it just that image of Eddie with the Axe was enough. Lucky for me i loved the music when i got home and listened to it. Images of Satan and beasts has always been associated with heavy rock and metal so when you love a genre of music so much you wanna know everything there is to know about it and the bands you love so you invest your time into it and it usually leads to the source of the images and then horror is the next step.

Well thats what happened to me anyway

Grrr!

There was a song featured on a television music show - TOTP, Old Grey Whistle Test, The Tube etc - by the band Sparks, which has really imprinted itself into my brain

Being the sot that I am, I can't remember what it it!!!

It was mid period/later, but it's not:'

'This Town', Amateur Hour', '#1 song in heaven' or 'Beat The clock'

I'm going by the melody. With Russel's vocal style, it seems like he is singing 'Bongobongobongobongobongobongobongo'!

Any ideas???

Long shot, I know..............
