Def Leppard announce first of four career-spanning box sets | Planet Rock

"Def Leppard will release the first instalment of their four-volume career-spanning box set series this summer.

The Sheffield rock giants will release the aptly titled ‘Volume One’ on Friday 1st June 2018 via Bludgeon Riffola/Mercury/UMe on two formats; limited-edition 8LP 180-gram heavyweight vinyl and limited-edition 7CD.

‘Volume One’ will boast Def Leppard’s first four studio albums – 1980’s ‘On Through The Night’, 1981’s ‘High n’ Dry’, 1983’s ‘Pyromania’ and 1987’s ‘Hysteria’ – together with a plethora of bonus live and studio material.

Originally released as a bonus disc on the deluxe CD version of ‘Pyromania’, the live album ‘Live At The LA Forum 1983’ will be available on vinyl for the first time – the 2LP version will also feature a new sleeve and inner bags.

The German label EarMusic, who also took the Alice Cooper album 'Paranormal' and Deep Purple's 'Infinity' to great chart success, seem to be doing a sterling job, and are certainly a label to watch for fans of classic rock music

First album I heard from them in 89 and all these years later it’s still my favourite and the only one of their albums that I always listen to without skipping a track

This is my one of my favourite Eddies that was inside the album and used during the title track on the tour
