For me the web isn't as informative as reading mags, or as interesting.
You're preaching to the choir, brother.

Just interested if it was anyone i didn't know and were worth checking out.
I just meant generally, as loads of people shrug off punk bands, assuming they don't know how to play their instruments properly because you don't tend to get so much "technical" playing with it.
However if you're after some decent punk bands worth looking up, I'd recommend: Rancid, Lars Frederiksen and The Bastards, The Casualties, Street Dogs, The Bones (more Punk 'n Roll but VERY good), Masked Intruder (if you don't mind daft pop punk), Propagandhi, TV Smith (former frontman of The Adverts solo stuff), Leftover Crack, The VeeBees (Aussie drinking punks)...

This mini album may be of interest to a few members here, it's from a new Black Metal band based in West Yorkshire, featuring a couple of mates of mine. I helped out with the recording of the drum tracks last year, so I get my copy for nothing, but I'd say it's worth £3 for fans of this style of metal

In which case may I recommend Winterfylleth, The Infernal Sea, Old Corpse Road, Aloeswood and Wolfthorn?

I really like how the drums sound, especially in Heretéam fram Anweald.

Nice snare sound compared to other black metal productions, the music itself wasn't for me though. I like black metal but yeah, you can't like everything.
