"Space rock torchbearers Hawkwind have announced six new orchestral shows for this coming autumn. Having completely sold out their London Palladium Show on Sunday 4th November, Dave Brock and co. have added dates in Leeds, Salford, Gateshead, Bath and Birmingham together with a second night at London Palladium. The brand new concept show entitled ‘In Search of Utopia – Infinity and Beyond’ will see Hawkwind perform each night with a full live orchestra. The score for the show has been created by Mike Batt; The Wombles creator who has conducted some of the world’s greatest orchestras including the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic and Sydney Symphony. Batt also collaborated with the likes of Lemmy, Roger Daltrey, Status Quo and Joey Tempest on the 1998 album ‘Philharmania’, which he produced, arranged and conducted.
