Very cool. Because of this thread I've ordered several soundtrack albums and have listened to Morricone's scores for Once Upon a Time in America and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly several times each.

I should have mentioned before that my mate and I did a 'soundtrack' special on our podcast back in July/August.

I've mentioned some of my faves in this thread already, but there's some other interesting tidbits and morsels in there:

Midnight Video Soundtrack Special: Side A

Midnight Video Soundtrack Special: Side B

I really like Cliff Martinez's electronic score for Traffic... The track below, Helicopter is fantastic and really well placed in the film if I remember rightly... I must see the film again...

If you watch the film the soundtrack just suits it so perfect.

The Wicker Man has to be my favourite. Paul Giovanni's music is sublime and enhances the atmosphere perfectly.

Totally agree RE: Apocalypse Now. Really excellent package all around. I'm obsessed with Italian film scores and composers, from Cipriani and Nicolai to Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Frizzi and Franco Micalizzi...all are maestros in my opinion!
