I can imagine it looks superb. A black and white restored film looks magnificent on upscaled dvd. I can only imagine what one looks like on blu. Unless it's not much different? |

Yeah, I'd definitely reinforce this. A lot of Noir and classic b&w horror looks shocking on DVD.

Even though they look good on DVD, it's like looking through fresh eyes when you look at a good bluray. Films like Cat People, the Universal Monster Movies, Double Indemnity, The Lost Weekend, Some Like It Hot, Gilda etc etc they look amazing like they were just made.

Fan-****ing-tastic news! I have the Japanese BD but this is a must-buy for me. The old Criterion dvd was one of my favourite possessions!
