Recieved MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH at the weekend-lovely wee package apart from that ****ing Irish logo which is thankfully 'coverable'

Tell you something though,if HMV goes tits up after all this shit happening, the internet will win hands down.

I went to TESCO,ASDA,SAINSBURY'S and MORRISONS today looking for SAINT MAUDE on Blu Ray-none of them had it-betamax only.

Cult and niche titles will sadly only be available by clicking a button......

LIDLS-Here's an opening!

I shall be picking up Saint Maude on Friday. Good to know all the supermarkets stock it.

'They Came From Beyond Space' - Blu-Ray pre-order available from Amazon UK - £15:00

Release date: March 8

"A mysterious meteor shower occurs above a field in Cornwall, and a team of scientists led by Dr. Curtis Temple (Robert Hutton) is sent in to investigate. The scientists and local bystanders soon find themselves possessed by an alien force which wants to enslave them. No one is immune from the invasion except for Dr. Temple, who is shielded from the meteor’s influence by a metal plate that was inserted to protect his skull after a recent accident.

He discovers that an alien race on the moon seeks to use the manipulated scientists for secret purposes. But, as Temple learns more about the invaders, he realises that they may not be as evil as he once thought."

Extras:
  • Audio commentary with Film Historian David Del Valle and Filmmaker David DeCoteau
  • Original UK Theatrical trailer

I expected this one to come out from Network in a fairly cheap and cheerful edition rather than an SC slipcover release. It's not exactly one one Freddie Francis' best

It's a strange one. SC have always released this. The dvd release from 2012 was from them rather than a licensed release too.

I haven't seen it, been meaning to buy it but by all accounts (Daveboy) it's rubbish. More akin to The Terrornauts than decent sci-fi.
