'Tomorrow We Live' (1942) - Pre-order available at PowerHouse Films direct - ?16:99

Release date: June 17

"Limited Edition Blu-ray (World premiere)

John Clements (The Four Feathers), Godfrey Tearle (Alfred Hitchcock?s The 39 Steps), Hugh Sinclair (The Four Just Men), and Greta Gynt (Sexton Blake and the Hooded Terror) star in Tomorrow We Live, a thrilling tale of wartime resistance.

In occupied France, Baptiste (Clements) arrives in a small town armed with details of a German submarine base. As the resistance humiliates the occupiers, and the Gestapo exacts deadly reprisals upon the local population, Baptiste works with the local mayor (Tearle) and his daughter (Gynt) to plan his escape to Britain.

Released in the US as At Dawn We Die, and directed by Tod Slaughter collaborator George King (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), Tomorrow We Live shocked audiences upon its release with its unflinching portrayal of Nazi brutality."

Going by previous years, it looks like there is usually a Powerhouse sale near the end of March / beginning of April

Michael Brooke has confirmed on FB that there is another Hammer box set in the pipeline:

"There will indeed be another Hammer box set, but it will exclusively comprise Columbia titles. Since that catalogue has been almost exhausted now, you can probably work out from that what the overall theme will be."

Can't think of another one either. As it happens, I've watched all three very recently Best of the three might be Don't Panic Chaps. All 3 have main actors who make it worth watching for them alone. Looking forward to the commentaries and any supplements Powerhouse can find.

What we really need is a nice boxed set with those Exclusive early films, with the same treatment they gave to Tod Slaughter's wonderful box... /winks

edit: Or even a boxed set of Hammer short films! There are so many and I haven't seen any of them

Yeah Dem. I think you are right. The last three Columbia titles.
Nice little comedy box set. Great.

On the subject of Columbia titles. I wish Siege Of The Saxons would get a release. Hammer Films regulars and filmed at Bray Studios.

Having just had a look at the Hammer filmography there's also Watch it Sailor, I only Arsked, Up the Creek and Further on up the Creek which were all distributed by Columbia.

Blimey, Yeah of course! I would love them all on Blu. One nice big box set will do nicely.
