On a side note, will the Premium titles go up in price as they were hmv exclusives? Their Hunger Games steelbook is worth about £2 so not always good, lol!

the physical media market is still worth 2 billion in the UK (source: BBC)... we still have a few years yet

i think HMV will close their stores and continue online... hope so anyway...

They blame a lot of shops closing down due to internet and people buying on line etc , tbh I rarely buy anything of internet rather go round shops but I do buy some films of net but also from anywhere else as well. Yes I do have Netflix but also if I like a film I see I also buy it as well . but the stuff I do buy online is stuff that can't find in normal shops anyway like original film poster that I've been buying recently .

There was a lot of people in my HMV today.
No young people or teens about. Just us older people and there lies the problem!
A big rack of the Premium titles although nothing for me this time.

Went in today & got refunds on my pre order deposits, staff were honest & said website may come back on as thats what happened last time they almost closed. Here's hoping

Picked up a few titles today. Actually preferring the feel of the slipcases on the newer stuff like Time After Time. A lot nicer to the touch than the glossy feel of the older ones.

Hopefully they release the new titles in jan/feb, can't see the logic in holding on to something they can make money from.
Might pick up any I'm after in case you can't get them soon!

new titles are on the website now.

Damn! I think they're just not getting anything new from suppliers, I ordered case of the bloody iris early december & got a refund last week as still hadn't turned up!

Can't see the logic in not releasing titles though, 2 weeks away surely they would be ready to go?

I don't think this is the case as when i placed an order on Saturday around half the items were classed as out of stock but they were all shipped yesterday so they'd clearly replenished.
