Snappers, steelbooks, slipcases, fold out packaging...I hate them all.

It is inferior to the French disc but nowhere near the disaster it was made out to be.

Don't say that.

Snappers are crap but i'm pretty sure you would masturbate as much as Stephen over a nice looking steelbook or slipcase.

Nope, I honestly can't stand them. I'll only buy a steelbook if it's the only version available.

I'm with Pete, the steelbooks look like cigarrette holders from old movies. I ordered Company of Wolves a few years ago and was sent the cigarrette holder - they just look gammy !

I dont't buy movies because of the packaging but who says a filmr must be limited to the "standard case" for every release?

Me too, the only reason I bought Second Sight's Return of the Living Dead steelbook is because a regular plastic BD case edition wasn't available.

I liked steels at first, but I have really gone off them. I specifically bought the non-steel version of A Company Of Wolves last week. I do still love my steelbook of Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls though as it looks amazing (never seen a better designed steel since) and it turned up in the post when I had no idea steelbooks existed, so it has novelty value!

Back on topic, I still wince when I think about the Korean DVD of Knight Moves I have around somewhere. A dreadful pan&scan VHS transfer. Unwatchable. I seem to remember it claimed to be the proper ratio too.

The Grindhouse Experience 20 movie box set. ripped from shoddy VHS tapes with tracking problems. You can tell they didn't even try.
