I have the old EIV Blu from around 10+ years ago, it looks fine but obviously I’ll be clamouring to give HMV my £25 for a new 4k version haha.

Thanks Susan! There is indeed, and it has all the extras. But it slipped by me ewhen it came out. Choices!

I hope they release a BR with the remastered version they did for 4K, that's what I'm buying.

Unfortunately, the options to buy you kindly mentioned are not available to non-UK customers. I already emailed Zaavi a couple of times, asking to add Portugal, since they already ship to Spain, but got no answer.

So great hopes for this one! It's a favorite of mine and wife's

edit: I just checked and my DVD is from 2001. how time flies! :O definitely time to upgrade

Amazon ship to Portugal

There is an American Blu-Ray [region 1] - GBP8.75 and an English Blu-Ray [region 2] - £27.77

No idea on shipping / delivery costs tho

You're right! Forgot about Amazon, but Amazon US adds $10 shipping + $11.7 import tax, and Amazon UK ends up costing €35+ overall. The new release will surely end up cheaper -- plus, new remaster

There is no Blu of The Crow currently available.

None of those are new, Zavvi is sold out and will have been for years since it's the 2007 release you posted whilst the HMV listing has no release date.

Presumably there will be the one you posted released at a later date to tie in with the upcoming 4K release but as yet it's only available in it's 2007 EIV edition on the second hand market at silly prices

I would never buy a blockbuster movie at "market prices". I'd do it maybe for an OOP edition of a really obscure film. Or to complete a set (I did this recently. that hole in the set was killing me for years). but otherwise? Just wait a while and another edition will surely pop up, hopefully better and improved, as it just did

More often than not blockbusters are reduced in price a few months after they get released so i just pick them up then, somewhere in that £5-10 range.

That's with current or recent films.

The older films that came out at the birth of Blu-ray some are getting scarce and some are simply out of print aren't they other than the extortionate second hand market?

But like you say (And depending on the company, as i think Disney and Fox are no more as far as physical media goes) many will get re-releases down the line. Be it StudioCanal titles like Cutthroat Island, Basic Instinct, Total Recall etc, etc or oddities like The Thomas Crown Affair remake and Miami Vice, recently reissued by 88 Films.

Many of those early Blu's are debatable anyway. Touchstone somehow managed to only put Dolby Digital soundtracks on their supposedly HD discs so films like The Rock and Con Air lack a true HD soundtrack....meanwhile there's the dreaded DN-R which plagued films like Predator.
