Oi! I've just seen this post. I'll have you know that I'm watching Goddard's Weekend just now. Actually, that's a lie. I'm really watching the fantastic The Filth and the Fury.

Back on topic, will CR do a good job of cleaning up Giallo A Venezia? I've had a DVD rip of the old Italian Star video release for years and would love to get an upgrade.

I think I've got the same rip as you which looks fine on my 11" portable DVD player but terrible on anything larger! Whatever CR puts out will be an upgrade but just how polished it will be depends on what elements he has to play with.

An essential pre order for me, no matter what it looks like!

I think Bill will have to give the print a clean, just so he can make his money back! I've always heard the the owners of the rights to Giallo wanted RIDICULOUS money to license it and that's why GAV hasn't had a legit release on DVD to date. Like you say, fingers crossed.
