The interesting thing about Stendhal is that it's a film pretty much told from the perspective of a psychotic killer. Quite different from say, Bird With Crystal Plumage, where you're watching it from the outside and therefore have little empathy. That's my personal take on it anyway.

From being the best company around in the OO's... now i don't even bother looking at their stuff.

It certainly is a strange business model just primarily focusing on rehashing the same titles that qualify for their UHD / BD sets to a minority market. I may be wrong but I think their most recent acquisitions were the Dick Maas films, the Maniac Cop sequels and Death Line.... and that was years ago now. Their releases are still of the highest quality but it’s just a pity they haven’t really been able to keep up the pace in terms of new content.

Well i was looking forward to ordering this, but this is going to cost over £43 to the U.K from Wow hd, so looks like i'm going to pass on this, havent got a 4k player and really just want the blu and soundtrack, can't justify forking out for this package, a shame but there you go, just going to order the normal standard blu and hopefully a separate release of the soundtrack may be forthcoming

I don't have a 4k player either yet...
Reason I ordered it though is the old BU BD is rather ropey looking.....

Yeh i agree with the quality of the old print, i just wish we had a choice of blu and 4k like they have with earlier releases, if this is the way they are going then i will be very selective in which titles i order, Dead and buried has always been on my upgrade list and at some point i bet i cave in and order a copy

Yeah I sold my BU disc before this was announced and bought the German bd,but it looks like the same source....so I caved as well.

Tbh,it's up there with the best of the eighties,so I suppose it's worth it!
