In this economic climate, I imagine times are tough for just about every independent label. So, if Arrow are able to release small niche titles as well as more well-known films and stay afloat, it seems like a win-win situation for them and the consumer.

I don't get this. You're complaining that they're doing more mainstream releases which is fair enough. People are saying they'll be making more profit from these which will fund more niches releases (which you presumably want) then you're having a go at them not releasing more mainstream titles because this makes more economic sense? Im sorry have i.q levels dropped suddenly over the course of the last year on here ?
Try and follow what i am saying. I dont like the mainstream releases such as the Brian Depalma films and Big trouble in Little china jazzy looking steelbooks ect. I am interested in the sort of things they used to release i.e the italian stuff.
However if they decide that it is more profitable to stop releasing cult films and concentrate on the allegedly more profitable mainstream market than i am suspecting that future releases will be of a similar nature .
