I re-watched it recently, and i was hoping for a non-boxset release but I since bought it in 4k on iTunes so I won't be buying the physical release just to go straight on the shelf, perhaps in the future in a sale though

The movie does have a prime place in Italian horror history but let's be frank, it's not as good as most Bava films, or many others of this period. I'm torn because I would like all 4 cuts but it's a bit rich for my blood. Do I play Russian roulette and wait to see if the price comes down. Although I've not seen the US cut I suspect it's mostly redundant, but I suspect the French version has the strongest material. |

I think this is a cracking month. Eric's Revenge, Stone Women and Machine Gun all look great. Prices will come down if there are fewer pre orders (like Yokai) or remain high if there are lots of pre orders (like Vengence Trails). Either way there's enough good stuff here to forgive the 50th release of Battle Royale.

NEW UK/US/CA TITLE: The Hills Have Eyes (Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray) Release date: November 8 Arrow RRP: £30:00 "THE LUCKY ONES DIED FIRST… Horror master Wes Craven achieved critical and commercial success with the likes of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street – but for many genre fans, the director’s seminal 1977 effort The Hills Have Eyes remains his masterpiece. Taking an ill-advised detour en route to California, the Carter family soon run into trouble when their campervan breaks down in the middle of the desert. Stranded, the family find themselves at the mercy of a group of monstrous cannibals lurking in the surrounding hills. With their lives under threat, the Carters have no choice but to fight back by any means necessary. Following on from his notorious 1972 directorial debut The Last House on the Left, Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes stands alongside the likes of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Night of the Living Dead as one of the defining classics of American horror." 4K ULTRA HD BLU-RAY LIMITED EDITION CONTENTS
