I have pre-ordered Body Bags & The Horror Show also.

I have yet to get The burning I wanted to check first how much if any improvement in PQ there is over the MGM DVD version which I own,is there a noticable difference or would you say they are fairly equal?
There is a definite improvement with the Blu-ray of The Burning. The mgm dvd was good, the blu is much better. The colors are more vivid and there is more detail.

Yeah, I think Scream made a mistake not getting hold of an unrated transfer. Everyone I know and talk to is avoiding it as they want it uncut. DVD/BD labels need to understand one thing about horror fans - uncut is the most important thing to us next to a good transfer. I'd take a lesser transfer if the film was uncut over a pristine cut one.
gag, Demoncrat and Boo Radley like this.

What exactly is missing from this version compared to the Unrated & how long roughly is said missing footage?

I may cancel the pre order now I know, hardly an upgrade if it is cut.

House 3 aka The Horror Show. "R-rated" version. Compared to the unrated version the following are lost: The 'meat grinder' footage and the eyeball bursting when Lucas lifts the severed head out of the boiling oil. Also the scene when Max Jenke is being executed has been cut slightly removing a 1 second face shot (pulsating like his arm).
R rated time is 30 seconds shorter than the unrated.

Thank You Very much for clarifying.

I know the scenes you mean as I have uncut cheapo DVD,that is ridiculous & pointless those scenes aren't going to bother anyone,In 2013 cut films shouldn't even exist.

And it's the butchered R-rated print, so no interest here, I'm afraid.
