However, the Doctor, along with his assistant Liz Shaw, is concerned that this drilling will have disastrous consequences for the whole world. His concerns are soon confirmed when the TARDIS throws him into a dangerous parallel universe, where Project Inferno is almost complete and the end of the world is near..." Special features: Disc 1
Disc 2
* NOTE - This short deleted scene was never seen in the original BBC transmission of the story. It featured a radio announcement that had Jon Pertwee as the voice of the presenter, and it was thought that it was too obvious that it was the actor putting on a funny voice! Although this scene did feature in the overseas versions of the story, and also in the VHS release, it was decided to remove it from the DVD release so that the episode remained truer to the original UK transmission

Easter Egg: Highlight 'Special Features' - Press 'Left' for logo - Enter for Continuity Announcements * NOTE - It was originally intended for director Sarah Hellings to take part in the commentary, but she was unable to attend on the only day available, much to her disappointment. The producer of the commentary, Steve Roberts, was worried that the presence of three lead actors (and no production input to balance them out) might lead to a somewhat 'luvvy' commentary, but Colin provided a depth of knowledge about the production of the story which would shame many on the other side of the camera!
