I enjoyed Ascension of the Cybermen.

Sets up part two nicely.

Thought the Cyber drones were good in a fun action set piece.

No problem whatsoever with the episode although it didn't send shivers down my spine like The Stolen Earth, Bad Wolf, Army of Ghosts or Death in Heaven. I do think if Chibnall can keep this quality for the last episode it will be the best season finale ever because the majority of the others have sucked after storming set up episodes.

It shows how bad it is when new who most episodes per season is around 13, where even old who shortest episodes per series is double that, so they got more time to write and film so you'd think the standard of what we are getting now should at least be better .

Four stories a series, two four part 25 min episodes and two thee part 25 minute episodes which amounts in screen time to seven episodes of the current season.
