Well, there are rumours about a certain monster from the Troughton era making an appearance in the new series... ;)

Stolen from Peter McKinstrys (Regulare designer for the series) blog.

It has been rumoured, but like a lot of those it could turn out to be a load of shite.

What I want to know is, how true are the Zygon rumours ? ...

After a bit of snooping i found out the Yeti were mentioned as being in the last Christmas special.

However the illustration was for a dvd special feature not a new episode.

Quote - McKinstry says ‘sorry to spoil the fun here but its an illustration for the dvd files magazine, nothing to do with the xmas episode.’

It would be great if they did that in the run up to the 50th anniversary
Most of the missing Troughton episodes wouldn't need much adapting, can just imagine Evil of the Daleks with civil war between the Paradigm and RTD era Daleks.

Whilst on the subject of remakes, has anyone got around to watching the first part of the Power of the Daleks one?:

It's actually pretty good for a fan production.

It was meh. I Tweeted about it during it's initial broadcast at DWO.

Just managed to pick up the Tom Baker era Meglos for pennies. I don't remember this one (although I must of watched it when it was transmitted in 1980). Is it a good one? It looks worth watching just to see Tom Baker turn into a cactus!
