I live in Cornwall and the selection of DVD stores are pretty limited anyway. However HMV in Truro are very well stocked with Shameless titles (I picked up Torso from there a few days ago).

I'm off to Plymouth shortly so I'll check there.

Jolly good - feel free to drag the Shameless titles to the front. I spent a few hours doing that in terminal 1 HMV at Heathrow. They were really fast at putting them back!

When they were refilling the shelves in the Truro HMV one of the customers pointed to Killer Nun and said 'F***in' hell! Look at that! Eurgh!'. I don't know whether they bought it but the shop had definitely sold 2 copies by the time I went back a few hours later.

Is it wrong to feel proud at that reaction?

Nothing much to add here, except that a lot of my own thoughts were echoed in the posts above.

And you guuys can believe me that "Shameless" might even find some fans outside the UK, because not every horror fan in the EU is solely fixated on US imports. A lot of fans are also on the hunt for interesting new releases in the R2 territory.
I have no clue whatsoever whether that wll also launch sales in Germany, but for instance, it's less "risky" to order flicks still banned in Germany from the UK rather than the US due to customs regulations.
Besides, a lot of cult titles haven't even been put out by German/Austrian labels, like "Night Train Murders" for example.

Censorship is not an issue for me here in Finland - or Scandinavia in general - but range of product is...and titles like "Night Tain Murders", "Flavia" and "The Frightened Woman" should also be of interest to collectors over there and in other EU countries.

On taking ratman to the counter yestreday, the bloke serving me enquired about the film,as he was thinking of buying it himself! We had a bit of a natter about exploitation and video nasties in general, and upon leaving,he told me he was gonna get himself a copy of killer nun, which just so happened to be sitting in their horror section.Another sale!

Was in falkirk about a fortnight ago,but as i was pushing my old ma about in her wheelchair, didnt get time to go to the usual haunts.
I'll be there next week,as i have a week off work with the kids being on holiday from school. Check out blockbuster on the grahams road, picked up a few goodies in there last time i was in.
