Mick Foley May End Retirement For Deathmatch On 60th Birthday / Ringside Intel
"Mick Foley is 58 years old and turns 60 on June 7, 2025... he wants to come out of retirement. And, not for a regular match where he could be protected by the other competitors or his surroundings. Instead, he is considering a deathmatch (which brings hardcore to a new level).

When given options, he wanted to face either Jon Moxley or Matt Cardona [Zack Ryder]. Both are great options and that would be seen as an honor to face Foley in what should be his final match..."
Although I think 'Foley Is God', I think this would be a bad idea

He is now too old for this kind of match, and should enjoy his retirement

I wouldn't have thought so, but... could his body actually take the beatings 25 years ago??

Bruce Jones, who appeared as Les Battersby in Corrie between 1997 - 2007, made his in-ring debut with SOVPRO Wrestling in Manchester at their 'IT'S DARK AND HELL IS HOT' event on February 18

"The Coronation Street star made his way to the ring to Status Quo's 'Rockin' All Over The World' as the crowd went wild, serenading him with "Les" chants when Battersby did eventually enter the squared circle. Battersby even formed his own faction, heading to the ring in a Les Battersby World Order shirt while also wearing double denim, reminiscent of the nWo, and he was soon joined by other members of the stable."

The (announced) card for this weekends 'Elimination Chamber: Perth' PPV looks decidedly unimpressive!!
- Tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship - The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) vs. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate)
- Elimination Chamber match for a Women's World Championship match at WrestleMania XL - Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi vs. Raquel Rodriguez
- Singles match for the Women's World Championship - Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax
- Elimination Chamber match for a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XL - Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. LA Knight vs. Kevin Owens vs. Logan Paul
Hopefully other matches will be included or the ones mentioned above all turn out to be 5* classics

Apparently the fifth series of 'Dark Side Of The Ring' is going to feature Chris Adams and Sherri Martel amongst others

Because 'Elimination Chamber: Perth' was held in Australia, it was an early one. In view of that, the results can be posted earlier than normal!!

SPOILER:
  • In the opening dark match, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) defeated Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell when Sane got the pinfall over LeRae
  • The first match proper was the Woman's Elimination Chamber match where the winner won a Women's World Championship match at WrestleMania XL. The match was won by Becky Lynch who defeated Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Naomi, Raquel Rodriguez and Tiffany Stratton
    The order of entry was:
    #1 Becky Lynch
    #2 Naomi
    #3 Tiffany Stratton
    #4 Liv Morgan
    #5 Raquel Rodriguez
    #6 Bianca Belair
  • Next was a Tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship where The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) [with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio] defeated the New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate) when Balor got a pinfall over Dunne. It should be noted that the air was filled with 'Dominik’s a W*nker chants from the crowd. He is probably the biggest heel in the company at the moment!
  • As an interlude, an episode of The Grayson Waller Effect took place with Grayson Waller, Austin Theory Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. This ended with Rhodes issuing a challenge to The Rock for a singles match.
  • Following this was the Men's Elimination Chamber match for a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XL which was won when Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Randy Orton
    The order of entry was:
    #1 LA Knight
    #2 Drew McIntyre
    #3 Kevin Owens
    #4 Bobby Lashley
    #5 Randy Orton
    #6 Logan Paul
  • The final match of the evening was a Singles match for the Women's World Championship which ended when Rhea Ripley defeated Nia Jax by pinfall

All in all it was an enjoyable event, with a number of fueds being set in motion for WrestleMania

The next PPV event in the WWE chronology is NXT: Stand And Deliver, which is due to be held on April 6. However, that is also the first night of WrestleMania XL, which takes place on April 6 and April 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Because it's in Philly, it's likely that Paul Heyman and various ECW wrestlers will show up... it's also being suggested that Heyman will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year
