I forgot to watch it!

iplayer today... hopefully I won't find it cringeworthy. I didn't get around to picking up the box set of the original series pre-Christmas but as soon as I get paid I'll be picking it up, not that I haven't seen it over and over I'm just fed up of seeing the same episodes.

We'll enjoyed it more than I thought I would. As others have mentioned Granville became everything he hated so Arkwright won and turned Granville into himself. Only thing I didn't like was the canned laughter which I have never liked and wasn't to keen on the actor playing his son. But ratings have been good so expect a series.

I really enjoyed the first episode of Still Open All Hours last night.

Far superior to last years pilot. Much better that it only referred to Arkwright twice at most. David Jason really seemed to take hold of the role of Granville once more, whereas in the pilot he appeared to be doing a rather poor Ronnie Barker impersonation.

Didn't even know it was on!
I agree about last years though, me and my girlfriend watched it and thought the exact same thing

We had him falling off ladders and running round the shop in his underpants last night.

I know it sounds silly but in the context it worked.

I'll have to look out for it being shown again, which I've no doubt will happen before the year is out
