99.9% of the time I can happily live without it. It's just when there is an evening dedicated to Kate Bush that I miss it!!
Can you not watch it on IPLayer on your computer? I never use it personally. Do you need to prove you have a license to access it.

Yes, you do

When you open an IPlayer account, you need to put in your e-mail address. It also asks 'do you have a license?' [tick yes or no] and what is your postcode...

When Chloe tried to watch something on IPlayer, she created her account, said 'no, I don't have a license' and entered out Torquay postcode. Soon afterwards, she started getting e-mails saying "we see you have been watching BBC television. Have you got a license or do you want to go to court"

We blagged our way out of it, but she doesn't want us to try again

I told her she should have said 'yes, I have a license' and given the postcode of the pub I used to own!

Maybe they're pretending those two films don't exist, a little like with the most recent Terminator film which cuts out a number of entries in the franchise.

PLAYING DEVIL'S ADVOCATE

Is it ever expressly stated that the AVP films take place on Earth?

Yes, I know the landscapes, geographical formations. inhabitants and languages suggest that it happens on our home world, but is there anything that suggests this *is* ours and not a completely different globe that, by some weird Hollywood logic, looks and sounds exactly the same as Sol III?

Is there anywhere in the two films where the inevitable cheery cockernee character states: "Cor lumme, Guv'nor. It is ain't those bleedin' Aliens and Predators wot 'ave comes dahn 'ere to our beloved old Earth, which is the third orb from the glorious sun and the place where 'Doctor Who' is screened on the BBC and posters of Kate Bush adorn the wall of every single teenage boy who has lusty thoughts in his lower regions?" or words to that effect!
