Sticking with Bates Motel and dropping Under the Dome.

Hawkmonger 22nd September 2013 05:14 PM

Attack on Titan episode 24. "Im not Eren! Im a horse! Out of the way mother ****er! Jean out!" :pound:
Someone at crunchyroll ****ed up the translation a bit!

That being said, this was a remarkable heartfelt episode, with Jean prity much grieving over Erens near death and almost confirming my suspect theory that he had a massive man crush on Marco before he had half his face chewed off my Annie. Anyway, good episode.

Me too... I mean with Under the Dome. My wife really likes it but I think it's dull, safe, wholesome PG stuff - the girl locked up the basement is incredibly cute though I must say... Anyway, I have way too much TV on DVD to get through right now, namely complete runs of Deadwood and Miami Vice...

Under the Dome gets better if you stick with it

Rik, I'm gonna give it one more episode, but only on your say-so...

I was really enjoying Boardwalk Empire - I was watching the rerun of Season 1 and 2 on Atlantic but Sky perversely have dropped the repeat of the 3rd season which messes my life up as the 4th one is beginning soon I think...

trebor8273 22nd September 2013 07:47 PM

Sherlock

Really enjoyed this first time I watched and enjoying it even more second time round. One of the best British shows at the moment, fantastic chemistry and acting from the two main leads. Like how the classic Holmes story's have been given a modern makeover but have lost none of their appeal.

Edit

Just finished season two how the hell did he do it I can't wait till season three so they can explain how he faked his death. Amazing show as is cumberbatch

pedromonkey 26th September 2013 03:57 PM

Picked up season 1 of GRIMM the other day, only on disc 2 but it's pretty good, a bit like Buffy and some of CGI is a little on the crap side but it's still quite entertaining.

Brand new SOUTH PARK today, was very good, can't wait for the next 13 episodes.

the penultimate Breaking Bad was a cracking episode, brilliantly written and acted, what have they got instore for the final?

trebor8273 26th September 2013 06:05 PM

Agents of shield

Not sure enjoyed it and you can see its building up to something big, but the characters apart from the awesome agent coulson are all a bit generic and boring, but it's only the first episode and have faith in joss Whedon

After seeing Dollhouse i'd say stick with it as I remember thinking that show was a let down up until a certain plot twist then I thought it was excellent. I'm betting there is more going on with the show than meets the eye.

Well rumours say the story will lead into avengers two

Considering how big a success the shows been here's hoping for a second season. Just got an Attack on Titan ringtone off Zedge.

Hawkmonger 28th September 2013 07:27 AM

Well, that was a satisfying conclusion to The IT Crowd. Loved it.:pound:

keirarts 28th September 2013 07:56 AM

Just watched agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Thouroughly enjoyed myself. Hope this sticks around and doesn't end up cancelled like firefly and dollhouse.

Their fine. I'm not aware of any blus of the series (at a decent price range) Naturally if Blu's do come out they should look better given the digital animation but the regular series is damned cheap and looks good enough on DVD. Don't get any of the compilation releases and make sure you get the full series.

Solid state society is the film that continues on from the T.V Series. Some people have picked it up thinking it's the third from the films, but it's part of the series continuity. Basically watch it after series 1 & 2.

Yes indeedy. But it does look good on Blu-ray. I would like them to unearth Patlabor for Blu as well. Same creator as GITS and same creative team worked on the anime. The series is fairly retro these days but has some cracking writing. Not easy to get as the rights went down with the distributors so only the films are available.

and just checking and looks like they ARE GETTING A RELEASE....!!!!!:rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::r ockon::rockon::rockon:

Might have to start selling my DVD's off... Wary about doing it until the whole lot are out though.

SharonLynette 28th September 2013 11:18 PM

Having re-watched Moone Boy recently and enjoyed it even more the second time round I'm really looking forward to the second series. Other than that my TV watching skills have been non-existent apart from watching Adam Adamant Lives! on dvd.

Demdike@Cult Labs 29th September 2013 12:39 PM

I thought Atlantis was an entertaining romp. Funny, action packed and likable characters.

Very much in the vein of Merlin though so if you didn't like that then you probably should avoid it.

Looking forward to seeing Medusa in the next episode.

Zann 29th September 2013 06:35 PM

Started watching Hannibal. Mads Mikkelsen is brilliantly casted.

SCM 30th September 2013 10:00 AM

Only seen the first episode but I liked it. Better than I was anticipating.

Rik 30th September 2013 10:23 PM

Just finished watching the first 4 episodes of The X Files, forgot how much I enjoyed this show back in the mid 90's. Because it's been that long since I watched it and the fact I can't remember how many seasons I watched, it's kinda like watching for the first time.
I've always known the influence Kolchak:The Night Stalker had on it, but having recently watched that show again, it's blatantly obvious now. Fantastic stuff :pop2:

gag 5th October 2013 07:35 PM

I've got bates motel on series link but missed first episode, what's best site for me to watch it online ?

Cheers

SharonLynette 5th October 2013 07:57 PM

The only new TV I've been watching is Wentworth Prison. Other than that it has been dvds, Adam Adamant Lives!, Tales from the Crypt, Alfred Hitchcock Presents oh and repeat watching of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia via Netflix and Reno 911! via Lovefilm.

Stephen@Cult Labs 5th October 2013 08:05 PM

Since Wenesday, I've watched the first 2 seasons of Homeland and the first episode of season 3. Fantastic series. Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin really carry the show, especially Danes. Although, after 25 episodes in 4 days, her character is beginning to grate on me. Yeah, she's supposed to be crazy (well, bipolar), but there's only so much you can take of someone looking as if they're going to burst into tears every 2 minutes (which she often does), before you want to give her a good slap and tell her to pull herself together. Apart from that, brilliant show!

mercury 10th October 2013 08:58 PM

Having limited access to tv at the moment, but when I do I have found myself glued to murder she wrote on stv. Forgot how much I enjoyed this.

Two episodes into Kill La Kill. Not sure if i'm enjoying it or not. I hated Gurren Lagann and i have a feeling this will go the same way.

Starting Breaking Bad tonight.

demonknight 11th October 2013 06:23 PM

Last night I watched The Sopranos season 5 episode 2, great stuff as usual. Though I'm not a big sports head, I'm getting ready to watch my home country, Ireland, take on the mighty Germany. Could do with a laugh :woot:

The Moaning of Life

If you liked Idiot Abroad then your gonna luv this, and without Merchant and Gervais he seem's even more like a loose cannon,in this episode he nearly gets married,he goes to an Indian wedding and then goes to US and arranges a marriage in launderette, where he genuinely looks like he's achieved something as he watches the couple dance.
