You just need to be patient and play the long game.

Three Academy titles went into the deal recently which i previously paid £12.50 each for. So that annoyed me

that's true. very annoying that Caltiki still fails to make the sale :nono:

a reminder though that the Academy sale is still on, so perhaps a chance to mix and match if you don't have 5 Arrow Video wants.

Crimson Blade 17th September 2018 05:10 PM

The Dark Mirror is one i'm glad i didn't buy at full price.

And i can finally upgrade Carrie as well.

But surely that was in the last Arrow sale they had

I picked up a copy of 'Caltiki' from Fopp during their last Arrow promotion, less than 6 months ago, and I was under the impression that both Fopp and HMV tended to have the same sales running simultaneously

they do but i don't have one close by so i get a lot online and Caltiki definitely hasn't been in the online titles so far otherwise i'd have it because its top of my list and has been since release.

Demdike@Cult Labs 17th September 2018 05:46 PM

There were two films that were Fopp sale exclusives.

Caltiki was one of them along with Erik The Conqueror.

Paul Zombie 18th September 2018 10:05 AM

Glad to see that the Arrow sale is back on. this will mean a trip to HMV to pick up Nightmare City, Lifeforce, carrie, Black sabbath, and Witch from the sea. :)

Amazon Italy have a promotion that you can buy 5 Universal 4K UHD's for 50 Euros if you use the code UNI5X50 at checkout. The price in total including shipping is just over £45 posted which works out about £9 per title. The offer ends on the 28th October.

:thankingyou:

That's fantastic – I just ordered Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Apollo 13, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and E.T. for the grand sum of £49.35!

John Matrix 23rd September 2018 08:44 AM

Any one know if Fopp are doing The Initiation or Madhouse in their Arrow sale. Been looking for those 2 for ages and they never seem to come up in the sales.

i'm in the same boat as you with Caltiki. maybe they will be in Arrow's own sale in December? not as much off but better than nothing.

you just know though, as soon as you buy off Arrow they will appear in the next HMV sale

i'd get it but i want a good chance of scoring the booklet. do cex usually have them or is it a bit hit and miss?

I took some stuff in today. Although they remove the discs from cases when they buy them from you it appears they leave booklets inside them on the shelves so anyone could nick them.

It's possible they remove booklets and so on when they put price stickers on things but i doubt it.

Rik 24th September 2018 05:23 PM

Whenever I’ve sold stuff with extras (poster/booklet etc) they usually take them out and put them with the disc, but I’m guessing it depends on the store

bleakshaun 24th September 2018 05:26 PM

Mines never do that whatsoever

nosferatu42 24th September 2018 06:33 PM

I'm pretty sure my one leaves the booklets in the case.

My one has been known to throw slipcase covers straight in the bin as well.

Gutted when the greedy bast*rds did this. I used to proper rip the pish out of the £2 for 10 items lol certainly got my money's worth.

As for the booklets, I'd say it's hit and miss. You never know if it it's been traded in with the booklet or not.

Fair enough ....

Justin101 26th September 2018 11:05 AM

I can understand why they do this although I'm not happy about it.
A lot of items are posted out from individual stores rather than a central warehouse so the £2.00 for 10 items doesn't really cut it!

Hammer time 26th September 2018 01:05 PM

I stopped using Cex, i'm not paying per item

Same here, we'll get that £2 for 10 items back if we stick together.

I've never used the site, but 365 Games are selling the Ultra HD Blu-ray release of Everest for only £4.99 with free delivery. I haven't watched it all the way through, but it looks to be a reference quality disc and is apparently a gripping film.

https://www.365games.co.uk/4k-uhd/ev...4k-uhd-blu-ray

They are also selling the Planet Earth II UHD set for £13.99.
