Finally saw a copy of House of the Devil at Poundland Uxbridge, which is now mine! I'm tempted by the Signal, sounds a bit like Pontypool, and I like that film.

Loved Pontypool, The Signal is not a patch on it (and not at all like it apart from the virus theme). Got it from Poundland, and I want my money back!

Yeah, in the Q&A, Ben Wheatley made it clear that he hadn't seen that film! I wasn't completely won over by those final scenes, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of it as a whole . . .

Each to their own. Think they have very different styles of humour. I absolutely hated the wacky middle section of The Signal, whereas the offbeat nature of Pontypool was right down my street . . .
