I'll always love this one. Clugman was great as ever, although it's pretty much the same performance he gives in Passage For Trumpet. Similar frustrated characters I suppose. A rather short and to the point opening and closing narration from Serling. One of the eps that always comes to mind first for me when someone mentions The Twilight Zone. |

I've just watched this episode and it's my favourite of season 3 so far. Jack Klugman (making his 2nd of four appearances in the twilight zone) is excellent. I prefered this performance and story to the passage for trumpet episode, but they are indeed similar as mentioned above. I thought that Jonathan Winters as Fats Brown was also very good. the two make a great pair and play off each other really well. great to see by checking the imdb that both of these guys are still doing well into their 90s!

Now this is what TZ is all about. Fast talking characters, sharp dressed 60s cool, the entire plot unravelling in one room, high stakes and a lesson learned. All in under 25 minutes. Perfect!
