Eaten Alive's cover isn't a patch on Cannibal Holocaust's. Neither's the film for that matter.

I wonder how much the lurid video artwork contributed to the silly video nasty panic? It couldn't have helped. I do love em though.

As much as I love that Evil Dead cover, I much prefer the one for the subsequent release - where she's holding her hand out. Superb.

In the cases of Driller Killer and SS Experiment Camp they contributed almost as much as the films themselves.

Some of those covers are absolute classics and you have to shake your head in disbelief at the crap the dvd companies marketing departments come up with nowadays.All floating heads and the title of the movie.You've got to wonder if they realize,with the amount of custom dvd cover sites out there,that a lot of people hate the new stuff they come up with and want the original art.I'd give my left nut (slight exaggeration there) for dvd/blu-ray covers of the Star Wars or Bond movies etc.If it aint broke,don't fix it!
