A History Of Bootleg VHS

I had a nice legit copy of A Clockwork Orange for years, my mum went to Holland and I asked her to go to a video shop and buy it for me, she came back with a nice factory sealed WB VHS tape for me. It had dutch subs but it was in full colour and as good quality as you could get on VHS

Only bootleg I ever had was Silence of the Lambs, which was a crappy copy filmed in the cinema. Because me and my mates were only 12/13 when it came out, I used to charge £1 a night rental on it, had a nice little business going until my mates dad recorded the ****ing FA cup final over it!

My first viewing of it was a bootleg, the day after release, in a hotel in Faliraki while on a lads holiday, cracking picture quality too

same here, i remember after watching it i went home, watched cbbc newsround and they were talking about it. you should have seen how smug i was being able to annoy my older brother about watching it and threatening to spoil the story.

The last bootleg i picked up was Reservoir Dogs from the Corn Exchange in Manchester.

That was immaculate quality and clearly recorded off the US laser disc.
