Absolutely brilliant. - Scuzzy, cheap little films with plots that veer all over the place, complete with dirty sex and madder than a hatter violence.

Anyone who ever says " Yeah i saw those, they bored me, always knew what was coming". is a ****ing liar..... or Fiona Horsey.
They are really great and deserve to have a bigger fan base than you and me. Then again, I have noticed that Cult Labbers seem to shy away whenever sex films appear in topics. I've never quite been able to figure out why.

I know Frankie likes the Horsey films as well.

I also know what you mean. There's plenty of sexual content in the world of cult films, be it in Gialli or horror. I practically grew up with Uncles Jess and Jean, so its always been part of my catalogue, and much of the time the best part of it.

Quite often i've seen it raised that films don't need the sex as long as they keep the violence which to me takes most of the exploitation away from the genre.

It's all very British. I remember years ago people writing in to complain about the amount of nudity in THE DARKSIDE magazine then gushing over pictures of women hacked up. What a weird nation we are to be afraid of sex.

Fangoria won't allow any nudity but its fine to show blood drenched cadavers on every page.

I'm also an admirer of Ms. Horsey and have seen those films too. Penetration Angst is probably my favourite.

As for the Findlay's, I haven't seen any of their work outside of their infamous 'Flesh' Trilogy, but really like what I saw... enough to buy all three anyway.

Hmm I don't think I've seen any of the Findlay sexploitation movies ! I need to change that soon.

I do love a bit of Russ Meyer though, especially SuperVixen! They're just so much fun - I was lucky enough to see a bunch of his films back to back in London a few years ago, before they showed the new film, Bitch Slap - great stuff!

What did you make of Bitch Slap Kyle?

I liked it, although i do feel it could have gone a lot further with the titillation. It wasn't really up to Meyer's standards
