I think DiCaprio has been consistently excellent throughout his career, even if some of his choices haven't been the greatest showcases for his talent. You only have to see the likes of This Boy's Life or What's Eating Gilbert Grape to see that even as a teenager he was an exceptional actor.

Deathproof aside, I've loved all of Tarantino's films and am very much looking forward to seeing his take on Django.

Yeah, I loved What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I also absolutely loved Inception and Blood Diamond. Ohh and I LOVE Deathproof, It's in my opinion, One of Tarantino's best! Infact, In his top 3!

Just goes to show, Everyone has their own opinions.

Oop, We have some photo's of the film in the works.

Christoph Waltz behind the scenes;

Chrisoph and Jamie Foxx;

Leo and a hammer;

I don't know why but for some reason to me, It feels a little like Tombstone with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer.

Those pics look great! I predict a rather icky demise of a supporting character at that hands of little Leo and that hammer.

It should be good, but after Death Proof I'm a little wary of QT. I thought it was boring drivel. Too much waffling and I got bored real quick.

I doubt this will be a 'proper' Western as such, which is no bad thing. I'm hoping it'll be successful and spawn a whole new cycle of Westerns.

The synopsis sounds a bit...I dunno...silly. But let's see how it turns out on the screen.

I'm still waiting for QT to tackle the horror genre. He loves it, so I wonder why he's never dipped into it. I don't count From Dusk Till Dawn, as that's more Rodriguez's baby.

As for Di Caprio - I refer you to the Basketball Diaries, he's brilliant in that. So yes, Titanic aside, I think he's pretty decent as an actor.

The ONLY film he's good in, imo.

I agree about Death Proof being the weak link in QT's ouvre. I really didnt think mych of it the first time I saw it but it's a grower. I watched it again tonight and actually quite like it now. It doesn't hold a candle to any of his other film but I think once you accept its faults and limitations it's quite an enjoyable film once it gets going. And boy does it take it's time! The shorter, Grindhouse version is definitely an improvement.
