I agree with Angel. She-Wolf would receive very minor cuts today. Probably even less than Wicked Warden (which seemed to suffer excessive cuts to me even then).

All I can notice is the Zombie attack at the Dr's house on his wife being cut slightly .

If Shameless did release ZFE would they have to resubmit the film for single release as the Box ZFE disc was part of a box set.
Anyone know.
The sell-through DVD's of Zombie Flesh Eaters are missing 23 secs. The closeup of the eye-splintering and the shots of the zombies eating Olga Karlatos's body.

If Shameless (or anyone) released the film it would have to be resubmitted to the BBFC due to the change of distributor.

Thanks Vince.

Would an uncut decision by the BBFC be definete if submitted now or was it passed uncut only because it was included in a box set.?

It wouldn't receive any BBFC problems if submitted separately now either.

There's a fascinating interview with former BBFC examiner Craig Lapper re the uncut certification of Zombie Flesh Eaters here.

That was an excellent interview Vince, thanks for the link , I really enjoyed that.

Its a pity the BBFC wouldn't agree to answer some sensible , pre screened questions from the Shameless forum.
I dont know how it could be done but it would be great for the BBFC to get the views of a friendly group of 'Hardcore' Horror fans here at Shameless.

Personally I think the BBFC are doing a good enough job with FILM these days, especially as theres so many laws tying their hands on several areas, OPA, Animal cruelty , etc, etc. I just wish they'd hit Porn a bit harder, more often, regarding the material that they can show , and use these laws more effectively against the Porn Industry.

Some of us on here are in fairly regular contact with the BBFC. They aren't the quickest repliers on earth alas but they certainly do their best to answer questions, and their replies are normally excellent & insightful.

Hard porn films, especially those submitted for the R18 category, are regularly cut by the BBFC. More so in fact than any other genre.

Yes the BBFC are fairly strict regarding porn, last year out of nearly 900 films rated R18 nearly 300 of them were cut, and some very heavily, 30/40m is sometimes removed. The cuts to these films tend to be in line with the obsenity laws because a lot of the footage removed includes violent porn which is strictly forbidden.

But obviously they are not as strict on porn as they were when James Ferman was in charge. But if people want them to be stricter on porn today then they need to campaign for stricter censorship laws because the BBFC are not going to cut material that is currently legal.

Personally I have no problem with the BBFC cutting these films myself.

As Vince mentioned the BBFC are excellent at replying to our questions.

Hey if we can sort out your space issues then that's cool! I'm working with a number of other labels as well and there looks to be some exciting stuff coming up in 2009 - I'm just worried we'll fill your house!
