The new remake of the classic Grindhouse nasty I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE is out now on UK DVD and Blu-Ray.

Unlike many other recent remakes that sully the name of the films they’ve been inspired by, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE is a rarity. A remake that exceeds it’s source material. Of course, noteriety in the world of extreme cinema is based on far more than the content of your movie and the original is still a firm favourite among horror fans but I think this is more to do with the startling poster design, rather than the film itself which is typical low-rent, exploitation trash with fairly shoddy acting. The remake polishes the idea, creating a film with genuine chills rather than a simple rape-revenge endurance test.
