Violence is Italian Art
Honestly me too
The HMV shop where I live don't really sell the dvds I'm looking for
and I very rarely buy any dvds from them
if there's a bargain, yes, depending on the film of course
but I shop online most of the time
as with all shops HMV are crafty with their prices - HMV has 2 ALEN ANTHOLGY blu rays, one was £35 and the other £49.99

My latest Blu's...

The Mechanic & Drive Angry were £9 each from Asda.
War was £6 from HMV.

I saw Charles Bronson Violent City for the first time 2 days ago on the Italian region B locked Blu-ray. i think it was good if you saw it as a Crime film. I thought because it was about a hitman and a Charles Bronson movie, i expected it to be action packed.

So, i was a bit disappointed since it was a Crime film instead with just a few moments of small action scenes sometimes. If you go and expect it to be action packed, you will be disappointed. But, as a Crime film, i think it was good and Bronson who i think played his role nice. Some good music from Ennio Morricone. I think Bronson is cool in this film. He has that stoneface or pokerface if you wish.

I liked the image quality. Pretty clear and detailed with no signs of DNR. It has only the English/Italian Mono sound in a 2 channel LPCM track with English subtitles. The music and dialog sounds good and clear in the English track, except in a brief scene where Bronson Telly Savalas talk in a car where they sound obviously like they sit in a dubbing room with a bit tinny sound. Of course the gunshot lacks any bass, but the music have some bass.

Film rating: 3.5/5. Not the best crime film i have seen, but you like Euro crime, i recommend it.

Also just received Day of the Beast on DVD from amazon, but the f!@;ers had it listed under the wrong cover and sent me the unsubtitled version. I am gonna keep it though because it seems no one has the correct ones.
Can't go wrong with Jason.

Or his mum.

Never seen a Blacula film. Are they any good or do they just agree with you? Are they proper horrors ? always imagined them as comedies.

You have to view em as Blaxplotation more than horror(reminds me of kinda like 70s Hammer) both are worth a watch, William Marshall is a treat in a Shakespearian type way(quite a voice on him too) but they won't scare you for a minute(closest to em is something like THE NIGHT STALKER)

Yeah, but it seems that a lot of sellers on amazon are posting the unsubbed one as the subbed one. I kept it anyway, it will do until someone releases a proper disc state side or Arrow does.

Also pre ordered his The Last Circus on BluRay
along with TORSO BluRay, and Criterions Blu of Island of lost souls.
